Lajoie-Thunderbolt

It’s possible to view the work of photographer Patrick Lajoie and not notice at first that it’s an image transfer onto birch panel, but upon closer look, the grain of the wood becomes visible and melds beautifully into the background. His booth at this year’s One of a Kind Show in Toronto prompted a lot of lingering over his arresting images and compelling colors.  He’ll also be at the Artist Project in Toronto in February (Above: ‘Thunderbolt’ 40″ x 60″ x 1.5″ Photographic image transfer art on birch artist panel)
